 WHO WE AREA Brief History... Even as a child, I loved creating art, crafts and keepsakes inspired by the world around me. Whether it was designing my sister’s annual birthday card & crown, Christmas ornaments for our family tree or a school project that allowed for creativity, I wasn’t satisfied until every detail was “just right.” After receiving my Bachelor of Arts from Auburn University, I pursued a career in special event planning and design. With more than ten years in the industry, I’ve managed and produced every aspect of events, ranging from New York City movie premier and music award show after-parties, corporate galas and trade-shows to weddings, anniversaries and private-home entertaining. During this time, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how concept and design enhance the execution of successful events. Realizing that my delight lies in the details which bring whimsy and character to celebrations, I began doing work for my friends and family, designing the specifics of their special occasions and milestones. I am fueled by my passion for design, coupled with a tremendous sentiment for life’s defining moments. I am inspired by my life’s vibrant experiences - childhood memories, education & event background - to create unique designs that combine European classicism with modern American simplicity. As the founder of Dressed Caterpillar Custom Creations, I thrive on turning my client’s ideas and experiences into soul-inspiring designs which enliven the moment, while capturing the beauty of life’s simple pleasures.
